1. How are the shoes painted and what paint is used?

Ans: The shoes are painted using fine needles to inject ink into the shoe like a tattoo as well as using fine brushes to paint certain parts. Acrylic Paint is used so that the shoe will be waterproof.


2. Will the colours fade off?

Ans: In most cases, the colours do not fade off as acrylic paint is waterproof. The paint may fade off if u have done something to it or you rub the surface hard against something rough.


3. Can I wash the shoes?

Ans: Yes. You can. As you can see below, I have washed a pair of my shoes and the colour still remains the same.







4. What kind of shoes can a design be painted on?

Ans: I paint shoes of canvas material, other than that, I will have to see what kind of material it is made of. Simplyshoes has moved on to paint shoes by adidas and nike as well! Acrylic paint can be painted on many types of surfaces.


5. How much are the designs?

Ans: The prices of designs varies. For pumps that I paint on the prices range from $18-$30 or even more. And for sneakers(Northstar), the prices ranges from $40-$80 or even more. All prices include shoes.


6. How long does it take for a pair of shoes to be completed?

Ans: The process of drawing and painting on the shoe is fast. It takes between 3 hours to 2 days. It is the process of deciding on the design and confirming the order that takes up the most time in most cases.


7. How do you get your shoes?

Ans: You will get your shoe either by meeting up (certain places only, mainly north area.) or by post (a charge will be added for postage ranging from $3.00 to $5.50 which includes transportation cost). Meet up or post will have to be confirmed first so that payment can be made at one go. Extra charges for transportation will be incurred if the meet us is out of the way.


8. How long does it take to get my shoe?

Ans: It will take no longer than 2weeks to receive your shoe if you are getting it by post, which is highly recommended. Meet ups may take a longer time as my schedule is packed and it may be hard to match with yours. The time taken begins from the time payment is received.

How to get your Personalized shoes
1. Choose your type of shoe.
2. What size you're wearing. (alternatively, you could pass me the shoe you want to be personalised)
3. The design (either those on simplyshoes or your own design. Customisation of my current design is welcomed.)
4. Email me all details from step 1-3 at simplyshoes_@hotmail.com


What shoes can I paint a design on?
You can paint them on almost any kind of shoes! Simplyshoes is doing them on pumps as well as sneakers from brands like double rhomb and north star. Simplyshoes will be expanding and may work on brands like converse. You can bring your own shoes down to Simplyshoes as well. I have painted on my adidas as well and it turns out to be really nice.


Pricing
The pricing of the design varies. For the pumps that I use(double rhomb), the price range of the shoe with a design ranges from $18-$30.

Payment
Once everything is confirmed, payment will have to be made first, especially if you are getting a new pair of shoe from me. Payment will have to be made directly to my bank account (228-52705-0) or by post (I will not be responsible for lost mail). For shoes that are given to me, payment can be made when I meet you. Please note that all payments made are not refundable. All payments have to be made within 3 days after order is confirmed.


Save cost?
Yes! You can do that by giving your old shoes a revamp. Simply by washing it up and sending it to me for a makeover. And in that way, you save cost on getting a brand new pair. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO USE OLD SHOES OR EXISTING SHOES INSTEAD OF GETTING NEW ONES.

Simplyshoes was established on the 19th of November 2006.

Simplyshoes aims to help start up a new trend in Singapore to bring this new form of fashion as well as art into the art and fashion scene in Singapore. Simplyshoes hopes to give everyone a chance to get a go at their creativity and fun side by drawing out fun and creative designs that can be painted down onto shoes.

You do not have to worry about getting the materials, the tools and even squeezing your brain juices out on how you are going to draw and paint on the shoe because Simplyshoes will do it for you.

Why get shoes that everyone else has? Why not get your own personalized shoes that only you have. Get all the attention when people you meet everyday look down and see that your shoes are attractive, unique and colourful.
